#BiteSizeChallenge Launches TODAY!

April is National Minority Health Month!

In the United States, BIPOC bear the burden of many conditions due to health disparities. These disparities are caused by lack of access and knowledge due to systematic racism.

Yeah, we call it like it is here.

These factors put BIPOC at increased risk for poor mental, physical, social, and emotional health outcomes.

It is unfair, and quite frankly, it sucks.

The ability to have access to the skills and tools that a person needs to keep themselves healthy is an essential human right.

Systems are changing, but unfortunately, that change is slow. However, there are things that we can do as individuals taking charge of our own health to mitigate risks. Many times, we want to improve our health but get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information available. This is how I came up with the #BiteSizeChallenge

Now, let me be clear, ANYONE can participate in the challenge but National Minority Health Month is what inspired it.

Here at Dr. K.'s Health Minute, LLC, we believe in Whole Body Healthy.

The #BiteSizeChallenge features 30 days of small tasks that cover aspects of physical, mental, emotional, and social health. Each task was chosen for simplicity and accessibility. Attempt each task and incorporate the ones that you like into a normal personal healthcare routine.

The idea isn't to be perfect, because perfection is an illusion. However, we can strive to be the best version of ourselves in a system that frequently makes it difficult for us to do so.
